Jannik Sinner has become the latest player to join the exclusive roster.

ATP rankings have always been the deciding factor for many things in tennis. Rows often change as the margins decrease. At times, however, players have managed to get a strong lead over their opponents.

The rating system has gone through several changes in recent decades. Lleyton Hewitt (9,890 points), Andy Roddick (9,852) and Carlos Alcaraz (9,815) have fallen just short of 10,000 points.

At the same time, tennis stars from the 1990s do not appear on the list due to a change in the ranking landscape. Let’s take a look at these eight tennis players who have crossed the 10,000 point mark in the ATP rankings.

8. Andre Agassi: 10,739 points

Eight-time Grand Slam champion Andre Agassi spent 101 weeks as world number one. On August 21, 1995, he amassed a total of 10,739 points after winning the 1994 US Open and the 1995 Australian Open. In addition, he was the champion at the Paris Masters in 1994.

7. Daniil Medvedev: 10,780 points

In the final months of 2021, the rivalry between Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev ignited. Both tennis stars regularly met in different finals.

Interestingly, Daniil Medvedev defeated Djokovic in straight sets to win the 2021 US Open. Later in February 2022, he reached a total of 10,780 points, while Novak Djokovic was the leader with 12,133 points.

6. Pete Sampras: 11,005 points

One of the tennis greats, Pete Sampras, collected a total of 11,005 points on November 8, 1997. With that, he also became the first player to reach 11,000 points in the ATP rankings.

The former American tennis star was the Australian Open, Wimbledon, Cincinnati Masters and Paris Masters champion at the time.

5. Jannik Sinner – 11,180 points

In June 2024, Jannik Sinner became the first Italian male tennis player to become world number one. Sinner won six titles in the 2024 season and reached the quarterfinals in every competition they played.
